Dr. Rassi is a clinical social worker at the University of Michigan CGSP (Comprehensive Gender Services Program) and a lecturer for the Eastern Michigan University, School of Social Work, Health Administration Program, and Public Health Program, teaching graduate and undergraduate students. Having both clinical and macro social work licensure, he sees clients in Ann Arbor and Okemos for a variety of psychological concerns, including anxiety disorders, PTSD, and complex comorbid mental health concerns, and works with many clients who simply have gender identity concerns.

Stephen has also served as a delegate to the NASW (National Association of Social Workers) National Delegate Assembly several times. He was successful in adding protections based on gender identity or expression to the Social Work Code of Ethics, and was the lead author of the current version of the NASW National Policy on Work with Transgender and Gender Nonconforming Clients.
